Mega Hoops is an inclusive children's basketball program in collaboration with the Ontario Basketball Association. OBA-certified instructors will teach physical literacy, fundamental movement and basketball skills in a supportive environment, guided by Canadian Sport for Life principles. Kids will also try Wheelchair-basketball with the Wheelchair Sports Association.

The Recreation and Athletics department focuses on children's active programming that nourishes kids' love for play and encourages staying active. Our programs are all led by certified coaches and follow a department-designed program plan from the first week to the last. With a focus on gross motor skills and program-specific skills through activities that never involve line-ups or elimination, our programs are fundamentally inclusive. If you have any questions about our active children's programming, please don't hesitate to get in touch with Daniel Eisenkraft Klein, Recreation and Leisure Coordinator, at This email address is being protected from spambots. This 45-minute program is a perfect introduction to Sportball. Children and parents participate in sports, creative games, songs, rhymes, stories, bubble time and much more. Although these programs focus more on exploration, children will be introduced to a different sport each week. Parents are encouraged to participate with their child and challenge them according to their skill level.
