    Two barbells, a pair of sneakers, an apple and a stethoscope START HERE is a free comprehensive wellness program designed to provide adults with peer support, community engagement, access to specialty classes, and opportunities for learning and recovery. A variety of events, workshops and programs are available for your needs and interests (space permitted). Approved applicants will be given a START HERE Pass* that must be presented at every visit.

    *Please note that your START HERE Pass does not grant full access to the fitness facility.

    1:00 - 3:00 pm (1.5 hours of walking, 30 mins for coffee)

    Become a tourist in your own city!

    Walk the Line provides the opportunity for weekly physical activity and socialization. Each walk will begin along the subway line and will finish with a coffee social. This program is free for everyone and a cup of coffee will be provided.

    Are you noticing changes in your memory/thinking skills? Researchers at Baycrest’s Rotman Research Institute are conducting a research study to determine whether a specific cognitive intervention can help maintain a healthy brain in aging and independence in everyday function. Open to adults ages 60-85. Some compensation will be provided. Spaces are limited. Presented in partnership with Baycrest’s Rotman Research Institute.
