Vaccination

As of Monday May 16, 2022 we will no longer be checking vaccine passports at the door when you attend an activity* or visit the Fitness and Aquatic Centre.  It is important to note that we have remained one of the rare organizations in the city in our sector (fitness, culture, community centre) that has continued to check vaccine proof for as long as we have.

In alignment with Toronto Public Health, the Miles Nadal JCC strongly endorses vaccination, including a booster dose, as the best way to protect against becoming seriously sick from COVID-19 and its variants.  That said – all of our staff and contractors will still be required to prove their full vaccination status.

*Exceptions: Our Early Childhood Department will maintain vaccine passport requirements for parent visits to the Centre, some future Inclusion programming, and some clients using the Al Green Theatre would like us to continue to verify patron vaccinations before performances

Masking

We are very supportive of masking as a way to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on our various populations. Therefore, we will maintain our current masking policies and will reassess as needed. Masking continues to be in effect in all public spaces including lobbies, stairwells, and elevators.  For those using our fitness centre, masks will continue to be worn in locker rooms and on the pool deck but may be removed while swimming, actively exercising on machinery, or within a group exercise class.

Screening

Members and the general public should self-monitor for symptoms and not attend any program, or event, or enter the building if feeling unwell.
