About this Role
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Create Judaic lesson plans for every theme. Keep lessons current, modify, add, create and tailor the lessons to each age and class. Know the students’ interests and be child directive.
Lessons include:
A. Connecting Jewish content to everyday activities performed.
B. Saying and understanding Jewish blessings.
C. Connecting to Israel.
D. Make a Jewish connection with secular themes.
E. Teach Hebrew every day in every class so that the teachers will continue to use the words daily.
F. Use repetition of terms so that teachers and students can easily remember how to pronounce the words correctly and become familiar with the terms to strengthen their connection.
2. Organize and distribute Jewish holiday materials to the classrooms as needed or provide materials to the supervisor to be copied and distributed.

Ability to use a variety of mediums to teach songs, games, and other teaching methods.

Planning/Organizing—prioritize and plan work activities; use time efficiently; plan for
additional resources; set goals and objectives; develop realistic action plans.

others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; accept
responsibility for own actions; follow through on commitments.
Qualifications
Fluent in Hebrew and more than a basic understanding of Israel and Jewish holidays.
Education in Early Childhood Education, and Judaic Education, or related field preferred.
Willing to learn about the Sheva Framework (the JCCA early learning framework of Jewish lenses and principles).
Clear vulnerable sector screening (done within 6 months of start date with us)
Current Standard First Aid & CPR-C, to be renewed every 3 years
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively and professionally.
Able to adapt to change and be flexible.
Possess effective time management, organization and problem-solving skills; and be able to multitask.
Must be up to date on all required immunizations including have required COVID-19
Vaccinations, allowing for exemptions under protected grounds.
Candidates must be able to legally work in Canada for the MNjcc
Salary and Benefits:
$50.00 /per hour
2 Personal Emergency Leave Days
Gym membership for the duration of the contract
Opportunities for additional work at the end of the contract within the Early Childhood Education Department.
Schedule Information
Approximately 3 – 4 hours per week as agreed upon and scheduled.
Beginning September 2025 for the duration of the school year to be renewed annually upon satisfactory performance.
Working Conditions
This position requires the individual to be able to lead a wide variety of individual and
group activities.
This position may involve both standing and sitting on the ground or a low chair.

Job Purpose
Teach children in TMSPC and LCCC basic, daily Hebrew vocabulary and about Judaism through the holidays and utilizing the Sheva framework. Foster a connection between the children and the values of the early childhood department and the MNjcc.
