Program Support Facilitator

About this Role

Changes due to Covid-19 Pandemic:

  • This role will be a hybrid role with in-person, on-site events either at the MNjcc or outdoors.

  • Applicants should be fully vaccinated with up-to-date booster and should be able to be masked while facilitating in-person programming.


  • 12 hours per week.

  • Shifts as scheduled during programming times.

  • Must be available weeknight evenings.

  • Shifts will occur weekday daytimes, and weeknights.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Live facilitation support of arts, social and educational-based programs.

  • Act as a peer support for participants during programs and events.

  • Assist the Program Support Coordinator in program design and outreach, execution, and attendance tracking.

  • Assist the Program Support Coordinator in designing and executing community outreach strategies.

  • Assisting in coordinating access features for programs, fielding accessibility accommodation requests, and ensuring an accessible and safe environment for program participants.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Post-secondary school or equivalency.

  • Experience working with young adults living with disabilities.

  • Experience in working with marginalized communities.

  • Experience in program instruction and facilitation.

  • Experience in program planning and administration.

  • Strong computer skills.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team, as well as independently.

  • Candidates must be able to legally work in Canada.

  • Please note that full vaccination against Covid-19 (or valid accommodation) is currently required to work in-person at the MNjcc at this time.

Salary and Benefits:

  • $22/hour

The Program Support Facilitator will work closely with the Department Manager and Program Support Coordinator to facilitate, plan, and organize accessible community social and arts programming, provide participant support during our programs for young adults with disabilities, and assist in executing the Wagner-Green Centre for Access & Inclusion’s outreach strategy. This role will be highly collaborative, and teamwork focused, with some independent tasks.
