< Back Summer JCamp Head Staff About this Role Schedule: Contract will run from June 17 to August 16 37.5 hours a week 8 hours shifts scheduled between the hours of 8am-5:30pm Monday-Friday Key Duties and Responsibilities: Support camp staff in generating age-appropriate and engaging programming, taking into account varying levels of abilities. Work with the Manager, JCamp to develop weekly theme day activities and support their facilitation Provide direct supervisor to 2-3 campers groups and staff, mentoring and supporting Camp Staff as needed. Provide verbal feedback to Camp Staff as required. Facilitate Pre Camp Training by leading informational sessions and group games. Address parental concerns and coordinate discussions with multiple levels of staff in the agency to address new or ongoing issues. Ensure camper groups have the necessary resources to fulfill programmed activities and notify Manager, JCamp when materials need to be purchased. Fill in for camp staff when necessary. Qualifications and Requirements: Clear Vulnerable Sector Screening completed within 6 months of the contract’s start date. Current Standard First Aid CPR-C Up-to-date immunization record (TB, Hep B, MMR) 2 years prior experience working with children and youth. Prior experience in a leadership position and comfortable mentoring and coaching peers. Previous experience in a similar position considered an asset. Candidates must be able to legally work in Canada. Ability to communicate easily with parents and other staff Staff must be able to work the entire duration of the contract, candidates who cannot work all weeks will not be considered. < Back After School Program Staff About this Role Schedule: The program runs from January 2025-June 27, 2025 Monday-Friday (flexibility with days worked) Shifts will be scheduled between the hours of 3pm-6pm with the occasional early arrival time of 2pm. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure the health, safety and well-being of the children in the program. Create and deliver age-appropriate programming taking into account varying levels and abilities of children in the program. Come prepared for the day’s activities. Pick up children from local schools and walk them safely to the MNjcc. Assist fellow staff as needed. Supervise children in the program indoors and outdoors; actively engage with them. Assist in conducting surveys for periodic program evaluation. Required to interact with team members to inform of them any updates or incidents. Will be interacting with parents daily during dismissal times. Qualifications and Requirements: Have to have 2-5 years’ experience working with children Must be 18+ Valid Standard First Aid and CPR certification. Facilitate a camp program that is age-appropriate, taking into account multiple levels of abilities. Get to know each child individually to instill confidence, encourage creative and cognitive skills and master social skills, Swim with the children up to three times a week. Constantly supervisor children and adhere to designated camper: staff rations Show enthusiasm for all facets of camp life. Qualifications and Requirements: Clear Vulnerable Sector Screening completed within 6 months of the contract’s start date. We provide a fun, safe, age-appropriate program for children ages 4-12. Participants will be offered a variety of interesting opportunities including art, yoga, drama, basketball, swimming, pottery, soccer and much more! Our specially trained staff are all CPR/First Aid trained and have had Vulnerable Screening done. Our Program is licensed by the Ministry of Education. About the Program ABOUT THE PROGRAM Our Staff OUR STAFF All staff must be a minimum of 18 years of age and are all certified in Standard First Aid CPR-C. < Back Volunteer at MNjcc After School Program Casual Part-Time The Miles Nadal Jewish Community Centre is seeking volunteers for its After School Program. All are welcome to volunteer with us. Previous Next Schedule: After School Program runs from September to June and volunteers should commit on a weekly basis. Shifts will be scheduled between the hours of 3:00pm to 6:00 pm, Monday-Friday. Key Duties and Responsibilities: To ensure the safety of all children in attendance Assist ASP Staff with delivering all activities Maintain a clean and safe environment for children at all times Communicate with the teachers regarding any areas of concern regarding safety of the children Assist with the supervision of children during outdoor and gym times. Assist teachers with children’s snack routine Assist the children with nap/rest time routines Reading, understanding and adhering to all ASP policies Show enthusiasm for all facets of the After School Program. In response to the interest in pursuing a typical dating experience, this event will offer adults (18+) with developmental disabilities and autism the opportunity to form connections with those who share their lived experience. While framed as ‘speed dating’, this event will not have restrictions of who can connect based on gender or sexual orientation. Rather, this event will be used to foster connections leading to any kind of future relationships, whether platonic or romantic. REGISTER
