In the midst of the intense reality of Israel I create paintings in my downtown Tel-Aviv studio that assert my right to freedom of expression and imagination. My paintings withdraw from local discourse to explore the faraway places and forests of the Diaspora beyond Israel’s borders.

Join this fun and friendly ensemble and explore a broad range of lesser-known Klezmer music repertoire. Under the direction of bandleader Eric Stein, mandolinist with Toronto’s Beyond the Pale and Artistic Director of the Ashkenaz Festival, the group emphasizes the development of solid arranging and ensemble playing skills while exploring the fundamentals of melody, harmony and rhythm in Klezmer music. All instrumentalists welcome. Meets Tuesday evenings, October - April.  Winter term ongoing to April 24. Prorating available.
