The Wagner Green
Centre for Access & Inclusion

At the Miles Nadal JCC, we believe in building a welcoming community where everyone belongs — regardless of background, identity, belief, or ability. We are committed to inclusion for all: our doors are open to people of all ages, faiths, abilities, cultures, genders, and identities. We aim to be a vibrant “town hall” of Jewish and broader community life downtown, offering a home where difference is honoured and belonging is universal. Through our values of hospitality, respect, and community, rooted in Jewish tradition and enriched by Toronto’s diversity, MNjcc is a place where everyone can feel seen, accepted, and at home.

About our Accessibility & Inclusion Programs

Miles Nadal JCC offers dedicated Accessibility & Inclusion programming through its Wagner Green Centre for Access & Inclusion. All of our programs are open to people of all abilities — whether you want to swim in our saltwater pool, sing in a choir, attend a lecture, or participate in arts and wellness activities.

Guided by the principle of “Nothing About Us Without Us,” we co-design programs with our Community and Youth Advisory Committees to meet the needs of people with disabilities and their families. With support from the Wagner Green Family Trust and the Azrieli Foundation, we focus especially on supporting youth (ages 18–35) with developmental disabilities through creative, arts-based, wellness, and social-connection programming. You can explore the full range of what we offer, and how to get involved, on our Inclusion Programs page.

Jewish Disability Awareness, Acceptance & Inclusion Month (JDAIM)

Jewish Disability Awareness, Acceptance & Inclusion Month (JDAIM) is celebrated every February since 2009, when it was founded by the Jewish Special Education International Consortium.

JDAIM is a month dedicated to celebrating and uplifting people with disabilities within the Jewish community. It is rooted in the idea that all Jewish people deserve access to Jewish community, culture, and identity, regardless of who they are.

The MNjcc’s chosen theme for JDAIM 2026 is Shining with Shlemut: Celebrating Wholeness”. Shlemut, the Hebrew word for ‘wholeness’, is one of the JCC Association's Eight Guiding Principles on Inclusion.
They write: "People with disabilities are whole people who do not need to be cured or fixed. We view disability as a rich and essential part of human diversity. JCCs strive to be places where our whole selves are celebrated." Help us celebrate each and every person's wholeness and inherent value this February.

If you require more information or support to register, please contact inclusion@mnjcc.org.
