Nestled in the heart of Toronto’s vibrant Annex neighbourhood, the Al Green Theatre at the Miles Nadal JCC is where artistry, culture, and community come together. More than just a performance venue, it is a gathering place for stories that inspire, challenge, and connect us — a home for authentic expression and shared experience.

This powerful documentary offers an intimate portrait of Liliana Segre, a Holocaust survivor and one of Italy’s most influential public figures. Through archival footage and personal reflection, the film traces Segre’s childhood arrest and deportation to Auschwitz, the profound loss of her father, and her later emergence as a leading voice for human rights and democratic values. Now a lifelong Senator of the Italian Republic, Segre’s story is both deeply personal and urgently relevant. Liliana is a moving reminder of why memory, justice, and moral courage matter - now more than ever.

Presented by the Embassy of Italy in Canada, the Consulate General of Italy in Toronto, the Istituto Italiano di Cultura Toronto, the Miles Nadal JCC and ICFF - Italian Contemporary Film Festival.
