H.A.M.S.A Honouring and Affirming Mizrahi and Sepharadi Ancestry H.A.M.S.A (Honouring & Affirming Mizrahi and Sepharadi Ancestry) at the MNjcc aims to do just that. We’ve launched a new hub for folks who come from ancestral lines that are often overlooked and underserved in mainstream Jewish communities. This includes Mizrahi and Sepharadi people as well as many other communities such as Bene Israel and Beta Israel. Our programming spotlights folks from these ancestral traditions, offering opportunities to teach and learn about different Jewish practices, meet others and build community, and make space for our food, art, holidays, ritual, language, and more.     < Back Athletics Staff About this Role Schedule: 1 or more shifts per week Key Duties and Responsibilities: Escorting children to and from activities Setting up and tearing down equipment Providing support, guidance, and/or demonstration of safe techniques and use of equipment. Creating a fun and welcoming environment for all participants. Tidying up and/or cleaning equipment after use. Representing the athletics staff in a positive and professional manner at all times. Greeting members, smiling, engaging in conversation, answering questions, and assisting with general inquires. Building and sustaining relationships with new and existing MNjcc members. Responding to and/or assisting with on-site emergencies, incidents and accidents, which may involve the provision of Standard First Aid, CPR, the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and/or the completion of an accident/incident report, when required.     < Back Theatre Technician About this Role Schedule: Working hours vary as they are based on the theatre bookings calendar – staffing schedules are determined on a monthly basis. Key Duties and Responsibilities: To be present in the theatre, when scheduled by the technical director, and to supervise the correct operation of the theatre’s technical equipment and the safety of all personnel working in the theatre during load-ins, load-outs, rehearsals and public presentations. To operate video, lighting and/or sound equipment during events or to supervise their operation by other technical staff on the call. To open and prepare the theatre before the arrival of theatre users and to ensure that all theatre entrances are locked following all performances, screenings, rehearsals, load-in and strike calls. To uphold Al Green Theatre policies in a firm, but polite manner. To liaise with event organizers and other Al Green Theatre staff to ensure the smooth operation of events, rehearsals, set-ups and strikes in the theatre. To work technical maintenance calls as requested by the Technical Director. Qualifications and Requirements: Technical experience (lighting, sound, head technician) in a theatre, performing arts centre, or community centre environment Experience with live sound (set-up, mixing, troubleshooting) required Experience in theatrical lighting (hanging, focusing, patching, operating) required Experience with video projection systems required Experience with a variety of performance types (music, theatre, dance, film) is an asset Ability to problem solve under pressure while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
